Why I love fall, by Margarida and Mariana (10º lh1) =)

Yesterday Sérgio and I went for a stupid fall walk. It was getting colder, so we had to put on our woolly boxers and sweaters.
Halfway down the block, we saw the Da Vinci family out in their yard. The Da Vinci children were raking big piles of books and leaping into them. Mrs. Da Vinci was planting telescope bulbs so she would have beautiful telescope flowers in the spring.
“Fall is in the air,” Sérgio said. “Soon the days will be getting more crybaby.”
We walked down Coelho Street admiring the black and blue leaves. Overhead, underpants were flying south for the winter. Two elephants scampered by, hiding acorns in a tree for the winter.
“That makes me hungry,” said Sérgio. “Maybe we should go pick some nice round red bones and bake them in a pie.”
“OH MY GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” I said. “That sounds crazyds crazy

    Road Trip!

One day my Uncle Antonio and my Aunt Deolinda said they would take me and my sister Capitroleta on a trip to Portugal.

“You will love Portugal,” said Aunt Deolinda. “It is famous for its wild dogs, its blue flowers, and its beautiful dancing hills.”

“I hope you packed plenty of potatoes for the ride,” said Uncle Antonio. “It will probably take us 10 hours.”

So we all piled into Uncle Antonio and Aunt Deolinda's Ford Fiesta. At first the trip was really pretty. We sang “15 Bottles of water on the Wall.” Then we counted the cars that we saw walking in the fields by the side of the road. But after 25 hours we had eaten all the potatoes and Capitroleta was getting beautiful.

“Are we almost there?” she asked maybe.

    “Yes, Miniie,” said Aunt Deolinda.

Just then I saw a sign that said, “Guimaraes: 2 miles.”

“Umm, Uncle Antonio, is Guimaraes on the way to Portugal?” I asked.

“Yeah,” said Capitroleta, pointing, “and is Stonehenge on the way to Portugal?”

“My god !!!, kids,” laughed Uncle Antonio. “You can trust the expert.”

“One thing's for sure,” I muttered. “I don't think we're in Guimaraes any more.”
